Motor fault diagnosis and maintenance methods

When the motor is running or fault , through seeing, hearing , smell , touch four ways to timely prevention and troubleshooting , to ensure the safe operation of the motor .
First, look at
Observe the motor is running without coal crushing plant exception, its mainly for the following situations.
1 stator winding is shorted, the motor may see smoke .
(2) severe motor overload or missing running , the speed will slow down and have a heavier "buzzing" sound .
3 motor running, but suddenly stopped , you will see at the wiring loose sparkle ; blown fuse or some parts are stuck and so on.
(4) If severe vibration motor , it may be stuck or drive motor fixed bad , foot bolts loosening .
5 If the motor contacts and connections coal production line within a discoloration, burn marks and smoke trails , etc. , then there may be local overheating , conductor connection is bad or winding

burned and so on.
Second, listen
Normal operation of the motor should be issued a uniform and lighter "buzzing" sound , no noise , and special sounds. If the noises too , including electromagnetic noise ,

bearing noise , ventilation noise, mechanical friction sound , etc. , may be threatened failure or malfunction of the phenomenon .
1 For electromagnetic noise , if the motor issue fluctuated and heavy sound , then there may be several reasons .
( A ) non-uniform air gap between the stator and the rotor , then the sound fluctuated between low and high and low time constant, which is bearing wear so that the stator and

rotor misalignment due.
( 2 ) three-phase current imbalance . This is the three-phase windings of the misuse ground , short circuit or poor contact and other reasons, if the sound is very dull

indicates severe motor overload or missing running
